(1872-present)
The
premier psychology database! Contains citations and summaries
of journal
articles (with some available full text); citations to book chapters,
books, technical reports, and dissertations, all in the field of psychology, are also included.
Journal coverage, spanning 1872-present,
includes international material selected from more than 1,900
periodicals
written in over 25 languages. Current chapter and book coverage includes
worldwide English-language material published from 1987-present.
PsycArticles
(1988-present)
A searchable
database of over 30,000 full-text articles from 50 journals and chapters
published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational
Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe
& Huber.
Social
Sciences Full Text (1983-present)
Bibliographic
database that indexes and abstracts articles of at least one column in length
from more than 500 English-language periodicals published in the United States
and elsewhere, and offers the full text of over 100 of those periodicals (for
recent years). Coverage includes a wide range of interdisciplinary fields
covered in a broad array of social sciences journals. Abstracts range from 50
to 300 words and describe the content and scope of the source articles.
ERIC
(1966-present)
Provides
citation and abstract information from nearly 1000 educational journals, books,
theses, curricula, conference papers, and standards and guidelines from
the Educational Resource Information Center and educational symposium report
literature. Also includes full-text digests
on education topics.
PubMed
(1966-present)
The
National Library of Medicine bibliographic database, covering the fields of
medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and healthcare. It includes
bibliographic citations and author abstracts from nearly 4000 current
biomedical journals published in the U.S. and 70 foreign countries. The file
contains over 11 million records dating back to 1966. Coverage is
international, but most records are from English-language sources or have
English abstracts.
Sociological
Abstracts (1963-present)
Abstracts and
indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines. The
database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews
from over 1,700 journals, and also provides abstracts of books, book chapters,
dissertations, and conference papers.
Infotrac's Expanded Academic Index, EBSCOHost's Academic Search Elite, Lexis-Nexis Academic, and ProQuest's Research Library are among the general periodicals indexes which are available from the Library's Indexes & Databases page. Each cover some psychology journals, as well as general interest publications, and provide access to articles in full text.

The library subscribes to a number of journals in the field of psychology, in print and via PsycArticles.
