BSC Conservancy

The BSC Conservancy is a group of Birmingham-Southern College students and faculty that are concerned about environmental issues facing our generation. Through the efforts of our members and other community members, we learn about and take action to help solve these issues.

The Conservancy actively engages the student body to work for environmental causes. Our ongoing recycling campaign has placed recycling bins in buildings throughout the campus. Through the efforts of our members, we are working to reduce the amount of styrofoam used in the school's food court. We have organized student workdays to improve the EcoScape, an on-campus project of the Southern Environmental Center. In addition, we are constantly working to educate the campus community about environmental concerns through the use of local trips, guest speakers, and other methods.
